Architects from Dissing+Weitling focused on creating balance between the exterior and interior when designing the large apartment blocks by Tubourg habour in Hellerup, Denmark. The apartment buildings consist of 214 apartments, built with precisely chosen materials, spatial balconies, and with both a view of the water and park.
Curved balconies from BB fiberbeton
Balconies from BB fiberbeton are manufactured to order and are tailored to the individual project. The formability of GRC was crucial in order to make the curved balconies. The balconies look like solid concrete but is in fact a lightweight structure better for the environment and the building itself.

GRC is made of white cement and fine aggregates and reinforced with glassfibre. Elements are produced using a special spray-technique that allows for a low water/cement-ratio, a low thickness, and a high strength.
